Formafantasma conceives a theatrical performance and installation at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber to tribute Cassina’s avant-garde production of the iconic furniture models that have become a symbol of contemporary design today.

This thoughtful and provocative intervention questions the dissonance between Modernist ideals and the contemporary world, inviting the visitor to reflect on a constantly evolving vision that detaches itself from the industrial and rational to encompass a natural and wild ecology.

Throughout the week a completely immersive theatrical experience directed by Fabio Cherstich, based on three commissioned texts by philosopher Emanuele Coccia, architect, writer and curator Andrés Jaque and architect and artist Feifei Zhou (terriStories), will be activated as an integral part of the installation.

The event is part of the official Milan Design Week programme.
