A collection of carpets by Cassina to complete its living and dining settings.
Atacama is a series of rugs made in viscose – a semi-synthetic and highly versatile fibre obtained from cellulose. The rugs have a shiny, smooth and soft appearance, like silk. The viscose brings out the surface details, absorbs and reflects the light, and the six available colour shades are enriched by variations and nuances, with luminescent colour effects.
In-Touch supports creativity and satisfies the most challenging needs. Made of Tencel, one of the most environmentally friendly fibres currently on the market, obtained from easily renewable sources, thanks to a production process with low environmental impact from which we obtain soft, lightweight, and breathable yarns that are also biodegradable since cellulose derivatives.
Fique is a strong, versatile fibre from Colombia and once used to make coffee sacks and agricultural yarns. Today, the natural fibre is hand spun before being knitted on special long needles for making uniquely beautiful rugs. Maglia, which means knit in Italian, is hence the name of the collection, which comes in five colours. The irregular nature of the material, which is created by hand, produces a splendid and authentic pattern.
Precious and contemporary, the Paglietta rug is born from the union between a traditional fibre such as jute and a shiny yarn. The uniqueness and irregularity of the manual weaving associated with this technical yarn create a perfect combination and bring to life a piece that is pleasant to the touch.
The Sahara rug is born from a contemporary reinterpretation of the Berber rugs of the Nomad dessert tribes on which primitive, rapid and instinctive marks have been drawn. The intent is not decorative, but the production acquires a symbolic harmony that unites space creating a complete connection. The woolly softness of the rug becomes a welcoming place where you can sit, practice sport or observe the outside from a new point of view. TANTRA The Tantra rug stems from the hand loom technique, in which production is carried out on a loom using entirely manual processes. Its geometric pattern, obtained by repeating a simple pattern memorized by the weaver, recalls the rigorous and accurate decorations that can be seen in many Indian temples where colour is used in a formal manner. Available in grey and blue-grey in a yarn made with a mix of viscose and recycled PET.
