Cassina’s 1=2 tables designed by the 2008 Pritzker Prize winning architect Jean Nouvel are part of the "Jean Nouvel, mes meubles d’architecte" exhibit now on show at the Musée Des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, in partnership with Jean Nouvel Design.
"I love furniture that can surprise ... that you don’t totally understand what it could be at first ... and that has more uses than you can imagine. As I have always been interested in convertible objects, I worked on many tables that could be folded and extended just like this one... 1=2 is a nest of tables, a simple trick. 1 becomes 2 when lifting the table and changing the height of its legs." Jean Nouvel.
On show until 12th February 2017.
