Fifty years after it first opened, the Cassina Milan Showroom has been extended and remodelled with a new idiom to better define the scenography of our interiors. The project is by Patricia Urquiola: a new chapter following those of Mario Bellini, Vico Magistretti, Clino Trini Castelli, Achille Castiglioni, Giancarlo Tintori and Piero Lissoni who, since 1968, have interpreted and promoted this ideal space to highlight the quality of the products in the collection.A new architecture for interiors to experience living environments. And to also experience new work-spaces for architects which are directly linked to the showroom by a sculptural staircase that leads to the first floor by passing through the ‘cupola’ dome, the very heart of the showroom. The interiors are characterized by traditional materials offering a contemporary take to the space with the retail model developed for the Cassina stores worldwide. Ahead of its time in defining new meanings and idioms, always restating its core identity.During the Milan Design Week this is the backdrop for the new Cassina Collection. This is the Space.
