Carlotta Outdoor takes a design created by Afra & Tobia Scarpa in 1969 outdoors, conceived to stimulate conviviality through a simple formal language rich in technical qualities. The armchair stands out for its structure composed of four frames connected by a sophisticated system of joints and interlocking pieces, a construction solution that reflects Cassina's carpentry expertise.
The hand-woven support ropes, which cross the frame thanks to a characteristic twist in the wood, define the seating surface with a rigorous and comfortable texture, combining functionality and formal purity. The weave is a distinctive element that combines visual lightness and practicality for outdoor use.
The Carlotta armchair is available with a solid iroko wood frame, known for its strength and durability outdoors, in both natural and lacquered finishes. The design is completed by the matching coffee table, creating outdoor spaces for spontaneous and informal conviviality, characterised by a balance of form, material and comfort.
Regular use of protective covers, available for separate purchase, helps preserve the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the outdoor product.
However, it is recommended to place products intended for outdoor use in controlled environments such as verandas and covered or partially covered terraces, avoiding full exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions.
Cassina chooses not to treat outdoor woods in order to maximize their natural quality.
Exposure to weather conditions may cause surface oxidation, resulting in the formation of a patina.
This patina can be removed with specific treatments.
