A REFERENCE TO NATURE

The organic lines of Samambu draw inspiration from the symbolism of bamboo in East Asian cultures. The shapes of the plant are echoed by the slender metal canes that gracefully soar through space, evoking the spontaneous growth of bamboo and its ability to form harmonious compositions. At the top of each cane, an opal glass diffuser houses a source that emanates a soft, uniform light.

2026

In East Asian cultures, bamboo embodies moral and spiritual values, such as resilience, inner strength, simplicity and longevity.

The rich symbolism associated with this evergreen plant inspired the design of the Samambu lamp system, translating the natural elegance of bamboo canes into a pure luminous gesture.

Samambu is available in table and floor versions. In the former, the single base holds two canes of different heights giving life to a dual beam of light; in the latter, three elements stand side-by-side on the same base, composing a more sculptural, dynamic figure.

To enhance the aesthetic of this system, the structure is available in a selection of finishes that evoke nature’s intense, earthy tones.
