Boynton Hall Table

Design Frank Lloyd Wright

HARMONIOUS LINES

Frank Lloyd Wright envisioned a design console made up of sharp horizontal and vertical lines. A solid object, eye-catching and timeless, able to express itself in any setting, as a wall desk or as a modern table.

This table was originally conceived as a sideboard for the dining room of Boynton Hall in Rochester, New York, which Frank Lloyd Wright designed in 1908. The architect wanted to create a piece with strong horizontal and vertical lines, a common feature of his residential designs. The table, currently available in Canaletto walnut and in a range of cherrywood finishes, is produced by the carpenters of Meda, the headquarter of Cassina. An emblem of Cassina’s expertise in the art of furniture-making, this table is a timeless icon, a perfect expression of its creator’s love for poetic harmony. Finished both back and front, the table can be placed either against a wall or in the centre of the room.

I Maestri

Frank Lloyd Wright

Wright was born on June 8th, 1867 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, USA. Before his birth, his mother was determined that the child she was carrying would become the greatest architect of all time. A teacher herself, she discovered the Froebel system of education, known as the “kindergarten gifts”, according to which a child was taught to draw using basic geometric shapes and forms.
