From the 9th of October 2026 to the 28th of February 2027, the Fundació Joan Miró hosts “Charlotte Perriand. Free to Rethink the World”, the first exhibition in Spain dedicated to the French designer, who revolutionised interior design and promoted a new way of living space through her work.

Cassina participates in the exhibition curated by Martina Millà, Head of Exhibitions at the Fundació Joan Miró, with the reconstruction of the interiors of the Salon d'Automne, the pioneering project designed by Charlotte Perriand with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, which in 1929 marked a turning point in the definition of the domestic environment. Produced with rigorous philological attention, the reconstruction allows visitors to relive the radical proposal of this celebrated “machine à habiter” (machine for living).

Also on show is a selection of iconic pieces from the Charlotte Perriand Collection, from the Ombra Tokyo chair to the Bureau Boomerang desk, alongside reconstructions of her lesser-known works, including some projects created during her time in Japan.

Through this initiative, the third and final leg following the exhibitions at the Kunstmuseen Krefeld museum in Germany and the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg, Cassina continues to renew its commitment to promoting Charlotte Perriand’s cultural legacy, offering a profound exploration of this visionary figure.
