PRODUCTION YEAR

1965

A lightweight, compact chair that facilitates conversation, designed in 1928 and presented in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne, along with other extraordinary pieces, like the 2 Fauteuil Grand Confort, petit modèle and 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort, grand modèle, the 6 Table Tube d’avion table and the 4 Chaise longue à réglage continu.

The balance between form and function relies on the use of the Modulor, a system based on the typical scale of human body proportions, and on a mathematical language inspired by the proportions of universal harmony. Maintaining the aesthetics, features, and dimensions of the iconic model, the 1 Fauteuil dossier basculant, 60 is proposed with a tubular metal structure in three new finishes – polished red, blue or green, coordinated to match the seat in self-supporting Cuoio Plus saddle leather in bordeaux, blue or green colour

Their collaboration lasted through to 1937 and was extremely fruitful, especially in the field of furniture design.
