CREATURES IN MOTION

An armchair and a seat without a backrest, sophisticated and playful.

The Tamburound collection is expanded and, along with the dining chair, an armchair and chair without backrest have been added to the family.

Equipped with an ingenious hidden mechanism that allows it to rotate, this seat retains the same generous contours and orbital rotation as the other models in the collection.

PRODUCTION YEAR

2024

A versatile armchair, designed for the dining room influenced by an informal, joyful lifestyle. Tamburound armchair is an idea formed by British duo, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, to bring a dynamic piece of furniture into the home, one that would encourage interaction between dining companions.

Also available as a seat without backrest, this creation is distinguished by the ingenious hidden mechanism that allows the components to rotate. Like satellites that rotate around a planet, the seat and backrest design two graceful orbits, carefully calibrated to ensure fluid, controlled use that allows both elements to rotate 360°. In the armchair version, the rounded shapes of Tamburound are expanded, along with the dimensions of the sinuous post element that connects the two satellites and supports the backrest.

Made of cast aluminium, it is available in a number of colours. The Tamburound collection comes in a vast array of upholstery options, completely removable, thanks to a zipper. The armchair structure also reduces to a minimum the use of foamed elements, made of polyurethane with a percentage of polyols derived from biological sources, while the padding is made of recycled PET fibre wadding.
