Cassina and One Block Down team up once again to present a new interpretation of the iconic Leggera chair. Considered a true classic of contemporary design, the Leggera chair, designed by Gio Ponti in 1951, is a timeless symbol of Italian creativity.

This limited edition of the Leggera Outdoor has a hydroformed stainless steel frame that has been left raw with visible welding to highlight its essential form and materials. The result is a new contemporary version of the chair par excellence. Each piece is characterised by small marks derived from the artisanal and craftsmanship production process, giving further value to the manufacturing history of each single chair. Like the Leggera Outdoor, this reinterpretation uses a hydroforming technique adapted from the Formula One industry to the world of design, allowing the chair to retain its lightness in addition to the exact shape of the original model.

During Milan Design Week, the chair will be on display in a disruptive installation developed by One Block Down at Autorimessa laRinascente on via Agnello 13, that can be visited from the 18th to the 22nd of April. The chair will be available online at from the 29 th of April at 9.00 a.m. CET.

This third chapter of the partnership between Cassina and One Block Down once again recalls both brands' characteristics: Cassina's rich history of experimentation, research and development and One Block Down's love for the history of design and cultural artifacts.
