Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2008 and now developed for outdoor use in collaboration with Dordoni Studio, Eloro Outdoor represents the rebirth of a design legacy. The armchair version retains the sophisticated details of the original collection's fine cabinetry, expressing the manufacturing excellence of Cassina's carpentry workshop.
The structure in natural Iroko, a high-performance and durable wood, is characterised by the distinctive profile of the legs and a refined interplay of triangles and diagonals that define the shape. Completing the design is a system of generous cushions that ensure immediate comfort while maintaining a balanced composition.
The back cushions are attached to a panel made of a new material that echoes the characteristics of the leather used in the indoor version, reinterpreted for outdoor use in a waterproof and UV-resistant variant, in Cognac colour with tone-on-tone perimeter stitching. With a circular approach in mind, the padding uses recycled materials and all components can be disassembled, facilitating recycling at the end of their life.
Regular use of protective covers, available for separate purchase, helps preserve the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the outdoor product.
However, it is recommended to place products intended for outdoor use in controlled environments such as verandas and covered or partially covered terraces, avoiding full exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions.
Cassina chooses not to treat outdoor woods in order to maximize their natural quality.
Exposure to weather conditions may cause surface oxidation, resulting in the formation of a patina.
This patina can be removed with specific treatments.
