STRUCTURE
Solid Iroko wood structure, made in the Cassina carpentry workshop.

Soft, enveloping seat with recycled polyester fibre wadding and polyurethane foam padding with a percentage of recycled polyols, protected by water-repellent fabric.

Cassina presents the outdoor version of the Novetrenta sofa, designed by Vico Magistretti and part of the company's Historical Archive. A project that reinterprets an icon of Italian design, maintaining the formal rigour and refinement that made it so successful.
Made in Cassina's carpentry workshop, the sofa stands out for its solid Iroko wood structure, available in a natural finish or matt open-pore lacquer in Polvere and Rosso Cina colours. The finishes highlight the material quality of the wood and the value of the craftsmanship.
The seat is available in a soft, enveloping upholstered version, made from recycled materials and protected by a water-repellent fabric. The fabric covers are removable and, with a view to sustainability, all components of the sofa can be completely disassembled to facilitate the recovery and recycling of materials at the end of their life.
Regular use of protective covers, available for separate purchase, helps preserve the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the outdoor product.
However, it is recommended to place products intended for outdoor use in controlled environments such as verandas and covered or partially covered terraces, avoiding full exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions.
Cassina chooses not to treat outdoor woods in order to maximize their natural quality.
Exposure to weather conditions may cause surface oxidation, resulting in the formation of a patina.
This patina can be removed with specific treatments.
I MAESTRI
Vico Magistretti
In 1920 Magistretti was born in Milan, the city in which he graduated in architecture in 1945, and where his professional career has spun its story ever since, chiefly in the fields of architecture, town planning and industrial design.The first recognition of his work came in 1948, when he won the Gran Premio at the 8th Triennale. After that came almost forty years of activity with other prizes and awards in recognition of Magistretti’s work in various sectors in different countries.
