Cornaro

Design Carlo Scarpa

Sculptural elegance

Geometric austerity encounters enveloping padding in this sofa designed by maestro Carlo Scarpa in 1973.

Based on the contrast between the wooden structure and the soft cushions that form the backrest, seat and armrests, every detail of Cornaro is meticulously curated to highlight the original aesthetic of the model, updated in height and depth.

The enveloping upholstered cushions that give the backrest, seat and armrests their shape are set within a majestic, sculptural wooden frame.

STRUCTURE.

Base in beech with glossy lacquer finish or ash with open-pore matte lacquer finish.

LACES.

In exposed thin black saddle leather contained inside a grommet developed to simplify connecting the backrest to the structure.

PADDING.

Recycled PET fibre and elements made of polyurethane with a percentage of polyols derived from biological sources and in CIRCULARREFOAM®.
