ILLUMINATING GEOMETRY

Tobia Scarpa designed a collection of lamps with spectacular visual impact that elaborates upon the idea of a luminous line, available in various configurations.

The Eitie floor lamp is made of two luminous lines that can be rotated 360 degrees to adjust their position and intensity. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, the circular metal joints that connect the lines can be opened 30 degrees, to the right or left, to create different visual effects.

PRODUCTION YEAR

2023

A family of eye-catching lamps, inspired by a wall installation designed by Tobia Scarpa, that emerges from a seemingly simple structure and sophisticated, innovative technology.

The concept for Eitie, a palindrome in tribute to Scarpa’s age and his extensive experience in the world of design, elaborates upon the idea of a luminous line that, thanks to unique circular connectors, is expressed in various configurations. Starting with the original work, part of the Benetton Foundation Research Centre, Cassina has revisited the distinctive wall-mounted lighting system to include a pendant light, table lamp and floor lamp that form a visually striking collection.

In the floor version, each element is composed of two luminous lines connected by circular metal joints that, thanks to cutting-edge technology, can be opened 30 degrees to create different visual effects. Each luminous line can be rotated 360 degrees to adjust its position and the brightness of the light.
