Envisioned in Tokyo in 1953 by Charlotte Perriand and still remarkably relevant today, this modular system can be used as a low coffee table, bench, or – with cushions – as a sofa.

The uncluttered shapes, fruit of a project guided by functional design principles and by an Asian-inspired simplification of form, make it ideal for modern living rooms, for resting and conversation.

The top is made up of 19 strips of wood and supported on graceful legs; a simple anchoring system allows the sofa seat cushions and those for the backrest to be positioned at any point along the structure.
