Design Kazuhide Takahama

FIRST MODEL/EXEMPLAR

Symbol of cutting-edge construction and avant-garde experimentation, Tulu is a stackable design chair designed in 1968 by Japanese architect Kazuhide Takahama. Along with the Jano, LJin and Gaja chairs, it is the forerunner of the exploratory pathway undertaken by the Japanese architect in the 1960s.

After becoming part of the Cassina Collection, the Tulu design chair was re-engineered with removable upholstery in fabric, leather or cowhide.

Structure

Frame in bent tubular metal with chrome or painted finish.

Seat and backrest

With elastic webbing.

Detail

Cover in batting and zipper to remove the upholstery.
