CASSINA CELEBRATES DINO GAVINA AND PRESENTS THE BOOK ‘O GAVINA, O NIENTE’

Cassina pays tribute to Dino Gavina, presenting at its store in Via Durini the book ‘O Gavina, o niente’, written by Marco Brunori and produced thanks to the company's support. Published by Silvana Editoriale, the book offers a well-rounded portrait of Dino Gavina, in a sequence of anthological extracts and reflections by numerous personalities from the worlds of design and culture, including Marina Abramović, Mario Botta, Luca Fuso, Romano Prodi, Tobia Scarpa and Vittorio Sgarbi, to name but a few.

For the occasion, starting on 24 January, ‘I GAVINIANI: l'ellenismo’ will also be opened to the public. This temporary exhibition, on view until 8 February, brings together a selection of objects that reflect the cultural and visionary legacy of Dino Gavina.

Cassina's participation in this choral project confirms the company's commitment to promoting design culture.

‘O Gavina, o Niente’: A Choral Tribute

‘O Gavina, o niente’ is a tribute to a figure who revolutionized design with his creative drive, transforming this industry into a space for cultural experimentation. In this multi-voice portrait, the direct testimony from Luca Fuso, Cassina CEO, explores the connection between Gavina and the company through a tale focused on the icons that once belonged to Simon’s catalog and today are part of the Cassina Collection.

‘I GAVINIANI: l'ellenismo’: A Subversive Retrospective

From the 24th of january to the 8th of February 8, the Cassina Store Milano will host ‘I GAVINIANI: l'ellenismo’, a temporary display dedicated to this enlightened enterpreneur, revolutionary, and subversive. Within the spaces of the Cassina Store Milano, visitors will find the ‘Televisore silenzioso’ a unique fabric television commissioned by Gavina from Luciano Ghersi, and the “Firme” tapestries, featuring autographs from masters like Duchamp, Klee, and Carlo Scarpa. Additionally, the panels by Ottavio Gigliotti, screen prints on lacquered wood created by Gavina to celebrate great masters and showcase his collection, will also be on display.
