Cassina supports “L’Art d’habiter / The Art of Dwelling”, the first major retrospective in Germany dedicated to Charlotte Perriand, at the Kunstmuseen Krefeld.

Committed to promoting the cultural legacy of the great masters of its collection, Cassina takes part in this exhibition with a faithful reconstruction of the celebrated Salon d’Automne, designed in 1929 by Perriand together with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Recreated with rigorous attention to historical detail, these interiors represent a defining moment in the evolution of modern living that was more functional, essential and perfectly attuned to contemporary life.

Cassina also contributes to the exhibition with reconstructions of lesser-known works, including pieces conceived during Perriand’s time in Japan, alongside iconic designs from the Charlotte Perriand Collection, such as the Ventaglio table and the Ombra Tokyo chair.

The exhibition “L’Art d’habiter / The Art of Dwelling” reaffirms Cassina’s pivotal role in celebrating and promoting Charlotte Perriand’s work, continuing its journey with leading international institutions, including the Fondation Louis Vuitton with “Le monde nouveau de Charlotte Perriand” (2019) and the Design Museum, London with “The Modern Life” (2021).
