LINDE FREYA TANGELDER: FROM BRUSSELS TO ANTWERP

This September, Linde Freya Tangelder presents Soft Corners, the first line of furniture developed by the designer for Cassina, at instore in Brussels. Throughout the whole month, the Belgian showroom hosts the sculptural volumes of this collection which includes three types of poufs and a coffee table.

In an interlocking of forms, the poufs have a structural wood core encased in soft padded upholstery, attached in a way that allows all its components to be disassembled. In contrast, the matching steel coffee table has an industrial aspect, it is also completely recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

In parallel, from the 1st of September to the 1st of October 2022, the Valerie Traan Gallery in Antwerp hosts FUNDAMENTS, an exhibition by her studio DESTROYERS/BUILDERS that provides an overview of the Belgium-based designer's work. In addition to a collection of limited pieces made for this specific occasion, the exhibition also includes limited editions previously created by Linde for her first solo show at Carwan Gallery thanks to the cultural patronage of Cassina.

In fact, the collaboration between Cassina and Linde Freya Tangelder is part of the Patronage project which has the objective of cultivating young international talent, supporting culture and developing creative ideas.
