ME FROM OUTSIDE” MIRROR COLLECTION BY PIETRO TERZINI ON DISPLAY AT THE VENERANDA BIBLIOTECA AMBROSIANA

Me From Outside Mirrors Hero 3

Pietro Terzini, known for his bold visual language and instantly recognisable style, presents the exhibition “Are you in love? No, I’m in Milano, from the 19th of September to the 14th of October at the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana.

Set within the atmospheric Sala del Foro Romano of the Biblioteca - Europe’s first public library and the oldest museum in Milan - Terzini stages an original dialogue through words, neon, mirrors, and prints.

Alongside the artist’s incisive phrases that have contributed to his notoriety, the display is enriched by with iconic elements from the Ambrosiana’s collection, from Caravaggio’s Basket of Fruit to the Madonnina. The result is a dynamic interplay between historical heritage and contemporary expression, combining classical iconography with pop culture, offering a space for reflection on the relationship between past and present.

The exhibition features the three  “ME FROM OUTSIDE” , mirrors presented this year in collaboration with Cassina.

The first mirror bears the inscription “We see what we want to see,” emphasising how individual perception shapes our understanding of reality., while the other two pieces (limited editions of 100 pieces each) feature the phrases “I love you,”, exploring the theme of self-love, and “Sometimes I lie”, a meditation on the  gap between appearance and truth.
