Italian designer Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) had a passion for re-designing, re-inventing and re-conceptualizing. Traditional interior design objects would pass through his Milan based studio and end up perfected. And throughout his career he always aimed at enhancing and glorifying the value of design.
Castiglioni is said to ponder a lot on lost space. Empty inches and square meters that could be filled with beautiful design – but for some reason just never were. Due to this thinking, he did many designs intended specifically for the corners of the homes.
Trio from 1988 is one of those: a practical corner shelf system designed in collaboration with Giancarlo Pozzi, intended to take full advantage of the available space in your corners. A clean multipurpose unit in wood with three triangular shelves.

La passione del famoso designer italiano Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) era l'attività di ri-progettare, reinventare e ri-concettualizzare. Gli oggetti di design d'interni tradizionali che passavano nel suo studio di Milano ne uscivano perfezionati. Ha sempre puntato all'evoluzione e alla glorificazione del valore del design. Castiglioni si è adoperato per innalzare il design a un livello di sintesi superiore, spogliandolo del superfluo per lasciare che il suo nucleo essenziale si esprimesse. Nella sua carriera, Achille Castiglioni ha collaborato con numerosi designer, compreso Giancarlo Pozzi con il quale, nel 1991, ha creato Trio e Comodo.
