Among the global Cassina best-sellers, it is the quintessential chaise longue, designed in 1928, based on in-depth research into reclinable chairs. The three designers envisioned the Chaise longue à réglage continu as an expression of the concept of relaxation, with a focus on the human body – the connection between form and function that is reflected in the balance between geometric purity and ergonomic intent. The stability of the daybed, at any angle of inclination, is ensured by rubber tubing that covers the crosspieces of the underlying frame. This model has now been brought back in a "full black" version – 4 Chaise longue à réglage continu, noire, durable – with the base, structure and upholstery in black. With sustainability in mind, this chaise is made using circular materials. The mattress padding is made of recycled polyester wadding and the headrest is in blown recycled polyester fibre. The interior of the mattress is now attached with velcro, a detail that allows easier disassembly of the product.
