Design Charlotte Perriand

FLEXIBLE APPROACH

Designed in 1943 by Charlotte Perriand, this timeless design chair is the interpretation in wood of the Fauteuil tournant modern chair in tubular metal designed by the same author.

The chair was designed in Vietnam, making use of the materials and artisan techniques that could be found during the war. “What could be sweeter than to touch a polished fir table top, smooth as a woman’s legs?”, remarked Charlotte Perriand, who often adapted her designs to the materials available and to the places of production.
