Cassina partner of the first retrospective on Charlotte Perriand in Austria
From the 1st of May to the 13th of September 2026, Cassina is partner of the first retrospective in Austria dedicated to Charlotte Perriand at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg.
Long committed to promoting the masters of modern design, Cassina reaffirms its role in disseminating Charlotte Perriand’s cultural legacy by contributing to exhibitions with leading international institutions such as Kunstmuseen Krefeld and Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona.
The exhibition retraces the creative journey of the French designer, bringing together architecture, design, and photography, key elements of her holistic vision that profoundly shaped the 20th Century.
Cassina contributes to the exhibition with its faithful reconstruction of the celebrated Salon d’Automne, the pioneering project designed by Charlotte Perriand with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in 1929, considered a pivotal moment in the definition of modern living. Produced with rigorous philological attention, it offers visitors an immersive environment, expressing the concept of the “machine à habiter.”
A selection of furniture from the Cassina Historical Archive and the Charlotte Perriand Collection are also exhibited together with designs of lesser-known projects, offering the opportunity to explore new aspects of the designer’s work.
