Ardys by Patricia Urquiola takes centre stage at the Cassina Store Seoul Samcheong during Frieze Seoul 2026
From the 2nd of September, during the fifth edition of Frieze Seoul 2026, one of Asia’s leading international contemporary art fairs, the Cassina Store Seoul Samcheong has dedicated a special installation to Ardys, the new modular system designed by the brand’s Art Director, Patricia Urquiola.
Taking centre stage in the store's windows, Ardys’ contemporary design language is emphasised by a display that uses the same London upholstery, characterised by an urban aesthetic inspired by technical sportswear materials, which highlights the model’s enveloping forms and generous proportions. The architectural lines of the combined glossy lacquered concrete coffee tables dialogue with the seating system, creating a refined contrast with the softness of the cushions.
Designed to flexibly adapt to today’s living spaces and needs, Ardys is available as a two- or three-seater sofa, armchair and pouf, and stands out for its modular structure, based on a square grid, which allows it to be freely reconfigured thanks to an innovative system.
In confirmation of Cassina’s commitment to developing solutions that combine comfort, durability and a greater focus on environmental impact, the system incorporates innovative, high-performance materials, including polyurethane padding containing a percentage of recycled polyols and internal wadding made from recycled polyester.
