The La Mamounia 5-star palace hotel, set in the sumptuous gardens in the centre of Marrakesh, is the quintessential essence of luxury.

Soon to celebrate its 100th anniversary, Studio Jouin Manku has carried out an important renovation project in collaboration with Cassina Custom Interiors who has supplied the loose furniture for the public areas of the hotel.

L’Asiatique by Jean-Georges Vongerichten

An intimate Asian inspired restaurant, characterised by original traditional Moroccan décor, features furniture developed by Cassina Custom Interiors.

Lacquered wooden chairs and benches with brass details are upholstered in an elegant tone of blue and combined with refined metal tables with an enamelled top.

The surroundings are enriched with folding lacquered tables, screens, bag holders and smoked oak counters.

Pierre Hermé’s salon de thé

The focal point of the first space, clearly visible from the lobby, is an extraordinary fountain and huge glass chandelier that entices the guests to discover the tearoom.

The experience continues in the adjoining courtyard, the typical Moroccan riad in all its splendour.

The tearoom is a peaceful rest point that features comfortable sofas and poufs upholstered in woven leather and special fabrics, produced especially for the project,

combined with small tables in smoked oak with a marble top and metal inserts.

The Cinema

For all film lovers, this cosy cinema has been conceived as the dream experience, mixing culture and comfort.

The cinema’s modular sofas have been produced by Cassina Custom Interiors in an elegant blue velvet and leather exterior.

Side tables in sold smoked oak and velvet are incorporated into the seating while adjustable lights and USB sockets have been installed into the sofa’s backrest.

A new experience for La Mamounia, the Enoteca can be found in the transition zone between the swimming pool and L’Italien restaurant.

To find the wine bar, one descends into a trove where the treasures of La Mamounia’s sommeliers can be tasted at a beautiful 4 metre table in stone and lava stone

produced by Cassina Custom Interiors.

Moroccan bar

Located near the gardens, this typical bar features an exceptional 37-metre sofa with a smoked oak structure

produced by Cassina Custom Interiors with an integrated heating system that warms the seat.

The sofa is combined with matching poufs and two different sized small wooden tables with an elaborately decorated metal top reminiscent of local culture.

L’Italien by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

The former Le Français restaurant has been enlarged to become an Italian restaurant which is defined by the relation between

its interior and the winter garden thanks to the large glass windows that look out on to the lavish vegetation.

In this refined and relaxing atmosphere, the tubular metal chairs with a natural fabric backrest are embellished with a distinctive

rope decoration and combined with tables that have a particular ‘woven’ metal-base.
