Cassina LAB: innovative und nachhaltige Lösungen

In its quest for innovative research and development and to experiment with processes and materials, the Cassina Research and Development Center gains a new ally ‒ Cassina LAB, tasked with guiding and bringing tangible results in terms of creating innovative design solutions and in transitioning toward a Sustainable product model. Assisted by the Poli.Design consortium of the Politecnico University in Milan, an internationally recognized center, this is the strategy through which Cassina pursues excellence.

Armed with a company tradition that has always placed the culture of design at its core, Cassina accepts the challenge to expand its mission in the coming years in keeping with the principles of sustainability.

Die Kreislaufwirtschaft wird zu einer Verpflichtung, der sich Cassina für eine Produktionskette verschreibt, die sich durch Handwerkskunst, Qualität und Fachwissen auszeichnet. Ein Weg, der auf der einen Seite die Suche nach neuen umweltverträglichen und wiederverwendbaren Materialien umfasst, um durch die Erhöhung des Anteils an recycelten Materialien im Produkt einen neuen Wert zu schaffen, und auf der anderen Seite Studien zur Wiederverwendbarkeit des Produktes selbst am Ende seiner Lebenszeit, um seine Recycelbarkeit zu unterstützen.

So entstehen Sofas mit Polsterung aus weicher Polsterwatte aus recyceltem PET und Sessel, die sich in ihre Einzelteile zerlegen lassen, um die korrekte Wiederverwertung am Ende ihrer Lebenszeit zu unterstützen.

Home interiors that promote psycho-physical wellbeing. The design of wellbeing is a demand dictated by contemporary lifestyles and ways of inhabiting our spaces. For Cassina, the pursuit of wellbeing means thinking about systems and furnishings that contribute to improving the value of interior design, blending design comfort and functionality.

The partnership between the Cassina Research and Development Center and the Poli.Design consortium of the Politecnico di Milano, produces design projects capable of engaging all the tactile, sensory and psychological aspects of dwelling in one’s home. From purification of the air we breathe to noise reduction, the kind of wellbeing that narrates the relationship between the quality of the space and one’s mood.
