Valor.S is the table lamp and applique designed by Philippe Starck as a tribute to Vallauris, a tiny village on the French Riviera where, after World War II, Pablo Picasso and many other artists, including Marc Chagall, Jean Cocteau, Jean Marais, Jean Lurçat, Georges Jouve and Roger Capron took up residence “to reveal to the world the beauty of enamelled ceramics”, as the French designer himself likes to say.
Starck interprets this approach through his own present-day and timeless language, crafting a hand-painted ceramic lamp expressed in an organic shape and lively colours.
